How Did This Accident Occur?

In my experience, “lost control” is law enforcement jargon for nobody knows what happened. That’s OK for now, but the ongoing investigation definitely needs to turn up some answers for those affected by this crash.

Authorities mentioned it was raining heavily at the time of this crash on Fry Road, but that was just a factor in this accident, not the cause. Investigators should go over evidence from the scene, data from Toyota’s engine control module and any available video of the crash to reconstruct this crash. A forensic examination of the car can determine if it had some sort of mechanical issue that contributed to the crash, but it must be done before the vehicle is repaired or scrapped.
