Lubbock, TX — May 19, 2026, Isaiah Wilson was killed in a single-vehicle accident at about 6:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of 55th Avenue.
Authorities said a 2011 Volvo XC90 was heading west near Salem Avenue when it hit a curb, causing it to overturn several times.
Driver Isaiah Lee Wilson, 23, died after being transported to a local hospital, according to authorities.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Lubbock County crash at this time.

Whenever I read about a rollover accident like this one, I always wonder if the vehicle had sufficient rollover protection to prevent the accident from turning fatal.
In my experience, most vehicles are designed to pass the government’s faulty rollover test rather than actually provide sufficient protection to the people inside.
