Palmview, TX — January 19, 2024, Isaiah Angelo Torres was killed and two others were injured in a motorcycle versus car accident shortly before 10:30 p.m. along La Homa Road.
According to authorities, two people were traveling in a northbound Chevy Cruz on La Homa in the vicinity south of West Mile 4 when the accident took place.
The Chevy was reportedly traveling in the center turn lane, while a Yamaha motorcycle being driven by 24-year-old Isaiah Angelo Torres was also traveling northbound in the left lane. Officials indicate that, for as yet unconfirmed reasons, the Chevy turned to the right and entered a private drive before it allegedly veered left again and entered the left lane where it collided with the motorcycle.
Torres incurred critical injuries as a result of the crash; he was flown to an area hospital for treatment, but was ultimately unable to overcome his injuries. He was declared deceased on January 20, 2024. The two people who had been occupants of the Chevy reportedly sustained injuries of unknown severity, as well; they were taken to local medical facilities for care.
