Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
There isn’t much information available about this crash, but there are likely some out there who are jumping to conclusions anyway. My experience has shown me that a lot of people out there simply assume the worst of motorcyclists whether or not they actually have any evidence to do so. I’ve actually had cases where police blamed a motorcyclist for being reckless and causing a crash only for our more thorough independent investigations to show the rider did nothing wrong.
I’m not saying that’s true here, but at the end of the day, the evidence should have the final say. Victims and families shouldn’t have to worry about whether or not they’re actually getting the full story on top of all the other hardships stemming from the crash. They should feel confident that the crash is being looked into fairly and that the truth will come to light. Maybe authorities are addressing the concerns of the victims and families involved here, but it wouldn’t be unusual if this crash needed more thorough independent investigations to get the facts straight.
