Hendry County, FL — December 26, 2023, an Immokalee man was killed and four were injured following a semi-truck accident at 6:45 a.m. on U.S. 27.
Authorities said in their statements that the crash happened near the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 and Stitt Ranch Road.
Initial details about the accident said that a 28-year-old Immokalee man was a passenger in a pickup that was eastbound on U.S. 27. Up ahead was a semi-truck also going eastbound that was apparently going “slowly.” The pickup somehow collided with that semi-truck, following which a second semi-truck also going eastbound struck the pickup.
Due to the collision, the Immokalee man was killed. Four people in the pickup were taken to a hospital, one in serious condition. At this time, additional details about the crash are unavailable.
