Houston, TX — July 3, 2024, Ileana Gomez was injured following a car accident shortly before 8:00 p.m. along Lakeside Estates Drive.
According to authorities, 28-year-old Ileana Gomez was traveling in a northbound Honda Civic on Lakeside Estates Drive in the vicinity of the Briar Forest Drive intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a southbound Lincoln Crown Victoria on Lakeside Estates Drive attempted a left turn onto eastbound Briar Forest Drive at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic on a left turn. This resulted in a collision between the Lincoln and the Honda.
Gomez suffered suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck; she was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
