Ihor Kim Killed in Work Accident in Liberty Hill, TX

Williamson County, TX — July 7, 2025, Ihor Kim was killed as the result of a work fatality accident that happened off the side of County Road 257.

A preliminary statement from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration has scarce information about the accident at this time. It appears the location of the accident was just off the corner of County Road 257 and FM 3405, northeast of Liberty Hill.

I can only hope that authorities have provided more information behind the scenes than what they’ve released publicly. However, they don’t often do so. I’ve been handling Texas work fatality accident cases for over 30 years now. It would shock folks to see how many times families came to me months after an accident still asking the same questions they were on day one.

The fact of the matter is OSHA does not prioritize the needs of a worker’s loved ones. Employers also tend to put their own needs before those of an employee’s loved ones. So, in order to ensure families get the answers and the resolution they deserve, it can take action from independent professionals. By prioritizing the needs of a worker’s family, steps can be taken to cut through all the unanswered questions and finally shine a light on what led to the accident. It wouldn’t be at all unusual if similar steps proved necessary here, as well.
