A preliminary accident report indicates that a southbound 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe collided with a 2022 Kia Sorrento while turning left into a private driveway.

How Did This Accident Occur?
Was the Hyundai driver distracted? Was the Kia speeding? Did either vehicle have an issue with its brakes or steering mechanism? These are the sort of questions that authorities should consider, in my experience, as they investigate this crash.
Investigators will scrutinize physical evidence, witness statements, vehicle data and any available video footage as they work to reconstruct this accident. Cell phone records could show what each driver was doing at the time, while a forensic examination of the vehicles will be necessary if authorities suspect a mechanical problem contributed to the crash.
Most law enforcement agencies do not have the time or training for such inspections, but the injured Kia driver and his family deserve to know as much as possible about what caused this crash.
