Milam County, TX — January 16, 2024, Hoyt Wayne Todd was killed in a garbage truck accident at approximately 9:00 a.m. along F.M. 486.
According to authorities, 61-year-old Wayne Hoyt Todd was traveling in a northbound Nissan Rogue on Farm to Market 486 approaching the C.R. 436 intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that a garbage truck had been stopped on F.M. 486 in order to make a pick up when, for unknown reasons, the Nissan collided with the rear-end of the truck. Todd reportedly incurred fatal injuries as a result of the wreck; he was declared dead at the scene. No other injuries have been reported in connection with this accident.
