How Did This Accident Occur?
A lot of people jump to conclusions with residential fires and assume they’re the result of cooking mishaps or open flames. There are other possibilities to consider, though. Gas leaks, botched repair jobs, rental properties not being maintained, a defective appliance or electronic device, faulty batteries, etc. Likely or not, these things should at least be ruled out before anyone jumps to conclusions.
I’ve found throughout my career that a complete investigation like that is generally what’s best for victims and families. Not only that, but if there was an issue which could be putting others at risk, it can be definitively rooted out and addressed before anyone else gets hurt.
