Harris County, TX — February 26, 2024, one person was injured in a hit-and-run truck accident at 4:00 p.m. along Sam Houston Parkway.
According to authorities, a 61-year-old man was traveling in a northbound Ram 1500 pickup truck along Sam Houston Parkway in the vicinity south of Hammerly Boulevard when the accident took place.

The causal factors that led to the accident remain unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the pickup truck was rear-ended by a northbound 18-wheeler. Reports state that the person(s) in the 18-wheeler allegedly fled the scene, failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim.
The man from the pickup truck incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the wreck and was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
