Dallas, TX — December 28, 2023, three people were injured in a hit-and-run truck accident at approximately 1:15 p.m. along Skillman Street.
According to reports, three people were traveling in a southbound Toyota Rav4 SUV on Skillman Street at the intersection of Walnut Hill Lane when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that the SUV allegedly ran the red light, attempting a left turn onto eastbound Walnut Hill Lane at an unsafe time. As a result, the back right side of the SUV was struck by the front end of a northbound Ford F-550 truck. The collision caused the SUV to fishtail; it came to a stop in the leftmost eastbound lane of Walnut Hill Ln. The crash caused the F-550 to veer right, coming to a stop after striking a signal light pole on the northeast corner of the intersection with its front end.
The driver of the SUV reportedly fled the scene of the accident. The other two occupants of the SUV—a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy—incurred suspected serious injuries as a result of the wreck. The 23-year-old man who had been the sole occupant of the Ford sustained reportedly moderate injuries, as well. All three were transported to local medical facilities in order to receive treatment.
Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of those involved—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is ongoing.
