San Antonio, TX — April 13, 2024, one person was injured in a hit-and-run car accident at approximately 1:40 a.m. along SW 36th Street.

According to authorities, a BMW was traveling southbound on 36th Street in the vicinity north of Cleto Rodriguez Freeway when the accident took place.

The causal factors that led to the wreck remain unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the BMW failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered left of center, entering the northbound lanes of the roadway. This led to a head-on collision with an oncoming Saturn Sky.

The BMW driver reportedly fled the scene, neglecting to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim. The driver of the Saturn incurred reportedly minor injuries. No other injuries have been reported.
