Harris County, TX — May 31, 2025, a man sustained injuries as the result of a hit-and-run accident at around 11:20 p.m. along the Southwest Freeway.

According to initial details about the crash, it took place at the I-69 and West Loop 610 South interchange in west Houston.

Investigators said that a 27-year-old man and two others were in a Toyota Tundra going eastbound along the freeway. It appears a black 2010 Infiniti G37 crashed with the Tundra, then left the scene. The Tundra driver was seriously injured.

Despite the description of the vehicle, it’s unclear if authorities ever identified a suspect runaway driver.

If authorities did eventually find out who ran from the scene here, did they investigate why that driver fled and how they should be held accountable? If the runaway driver has yet to be identified, is there any additional information authorities can put out to the public? That’s usually a good way for people in the community to help connect the dots. Even months after a hit-and-run, there can be steps to reach a just conclusion for those involved.
