Accident Report
April 11, 2026, five teenagers were injured following a hit-and-run accident around 2:28 a.m. along Pioneer Parkway.
Investigators said that the accident took place at the intersection of Pioneer Parkway and Susan Drive, just east of TX-360.
According to officials, five teenagers, ages 16-17, were in a Honda Ridgeline going southbound. A Kia Forte was going westbound. The vehicles crashed at the intersection, following which authorities say the Kia driver fled the scene.
One of the teens from the Honda was seriously injured while others had moderate injuries. It’s unclear if authorities identified or apprehended the Kia driver. However, details suggest authorities had the vehicle in their possession. No further information is available right now.
How Did This Accident Occur?
While exact details aren’t clear right now, drivers don’t usually leave the scene when they’ve done nothing wrong. It could be that the alleged runaway driver had something unrelated that led them to flee—warrants are rather common, for example. But this early in the morning, drunk driving is also a very common reason people flee the accident scene. So if authorities have yet to locate the runaway driver, it might help if they released more information to the public so someone can connect the dots and come forward. That way, there can be some accountability for what happened here.
