Austin, TX — December 25, 2025, two people were injured following an alleged hit-and-run accident at around 9:44 p.m. along North Lamar Boulevard.

Austin Police officials released information about the accident, which reportedly happened at the intersection of Lamar and Rundberg Lane.

It appears a man and a woman were on a motorcycle traveling through the intersection. While doing so, officials say that a black Chrysler 200 going eastbound hit the motorcycle. The Chrysler then continued driving and left the scene.

The pair on the motorcycle both reportedly had injuries due to the accident. There’s no word on if authorities have identified a suspect at this time.

It can help quite a bit to put details like this in front of as many eyes as possible. A lot of the time when authorities find a hit-and-run driver, it’s because members of the community were able to come forward with new details. So if authorities can continue putting out information to the public, I remain hopeful there will be accountability for this accident and some answers about why this driver fled in the first place.
