San Antonio, TX — August 25, 2024, Herlinda Jeffers was injured following a car accident at around 10:00 a.m. along Loop 1604.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened off westbound lanes of the accest road just off Emerald Forest.
According to officials, 66-year-old Herlinda Jeffers was in a Nissan Rogue going along Loop 1604. Somehow, the vehicle lost control and left the roadway. It crashed through the embankment and overturned.
Due to the accident, Jeffers sustained serious injuries. There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. No further information can be confirmed at this time.

When it comes to single vehicle accidents, there’s always a concern about whether or not investigations were handled properly. Frankly, they’re not often seen as a high priority, so authorities sometimes move on without really giving the accident the attention it needs. This can leave victims and families looking for answers or feeling like no one is telling their side of the story. That’s generally when there needs to be thorough independent investigations to pick up the slack. It’s possible, though, that authorities were able to get clearer answers behind the scenes than what I’m seeing in the initial statements.
