Parker County, TX — December 24, 2023, three people were injured in a head-on car accident at approximately 3:00 in the morning along State Highway 199.
According to reports, a 40-year-old man was traveling in a westbound Ford Fusion on S.H. 199 in the vicinity west of Ross Lane when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that the rainy and wet weather and road conditions in the area may have been a factor leading up to the accident. The Fusion allegedly drifted left over the center line and into the eastbound lanes of the roadway. This resulted in a head-on collision with an oncoming Ford Taurus.
The 27-year-old man who had been an occupant of the Taurus incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash. The 26-year-old woman from the Taurus and the 40-year-old man from the Fusion both sustained reportedly moderate injuries. All three victims were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive treatment.
