Accident Report
April 6, 2026, Hayley Bosma was killed as the result of a hit-and-run accident at around 9:15 p.m. along Westheimer Road.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident took place off the corner of the Westheimer Road and Eldridge Parkway intersection.
According to initial details about the accident, a pedestrian was possibly in a crosswalk along Westheimer Road. Harris County officials identified the pedestrian as Hayley Bosma. While on the roadway, a Honda Civic reportedly struck Hayley Bosma, resulting in fatal injuries.
Authorities allege that the Honda driver left the scene, but authorities apparently contacted a suspect and questioned them. Potential charges are unclear at this time.
How Did This Accident Occur?
If it’s true that authorities identified the driver involved in this accident, it’s a bit unusual not to see any confirmed charges. After all, people don’t usually leave an accident scene unless there was something they didn’t want authorities to find out about. Drunk driving, drugs, suspended licenses, warrants, etc. But perhaps there were extenuating circumstances about this accident that are making investigations take a bit longer than usual.
If that’s true, my hope is at least that authorities are keeping the family in the loop. It might surprise folks how often I have families come to me because authorities just won’t tell them what’s going on, and they need someone to get police to open up and discuss the investigations. Hopefully steps like that won’t be necessary here, but that remains to be seen.
Did anyone witness this accident or know more than what police have said publicly? Let me know in the comments.
