When it comes to pedestrian accidents, things can often be more complex than people may realize. It’s not as simple as the pedestrian either was or wasn’t in a crosswalk. Proper investigations also need to consider what the driver was doing, if the pedestrian was visible and avoidable, if there are issues with the roadway, or if alcohol was involved. Short of that, a family may not feel confident they’re getting the whole story. Hopefully authorities have been more thorough than their initial public statements suggest.
