Bolton, VT — December 17, 2025, Hailey Westcot was killed and one person was injured after a multi-vehicle accident at 5:22 p.m. on I-89.
Investigators said that the accident happened in the area of mile marker 71 along southbound lanes of the interstate.
Initial reports say that 21-year-old Hailey Westcot was in a southbound Kia Sportage. From the northbound lanes, authorities say a pickup somehow crossed the median, went into oncoming lanes, and crashed with the Kia. Following this, a semi-truck then crashed into the Kia.
Due to the accident, Hailey Westcot was killed. The driver of the pickup was injured. At this time, additional details are still under investigation.

There are many concerning details surrounding this crash right now, but it’s important that those affected by the accident know the full story will be told. Sometimes, authorities get tunnel vision, and they focus so much on their own priorities that they forget that victims and families need clear answers.
As such, if a family ever feels like there’s more to a story, they should trust that instinct and take steps to have the investigation looked into by more thorough independent investigators. Sometimes, they just confirm what authorities already know. Other times, they may find new details that make the situation far less black-and-white than the initial reports suggest.
