Anderson County, TX — November 30, 2025, Grady Reeves and one other were injured after a car accident at around 1:31 a.m. along US Highway 79.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened in the area of Oak Street and Knox Street.
Investigators said that 54-year-old Grady Reeves was in a Ford Crown Vic going southwest along the highway. A Dodge Ram was going northeast along the roadway when it crashed into the Ford. Due to this, Grady Reeves reportedly was seriously injured.
The Dodge driver reportedly had moderate injuries. Authorities accuse that driver of being under the influence of alcohol. No further information is available at this time.

With alcohol-related crashes, people might think everything is open-and-shut. The alleged drunk driver faces charges, and that’s that. The reality, though, is there is often an accomplice to hold accountable, as well: a negligent alcohol provider. Let me explain.
I’ve handled hundreds of cases involving alcohol-related accidents. A lot of the time, investigations will show that a drunk driver was unlawfully over-served by a bar or similar establishment prior to the accident. In Texas, if that over-service contributes to people getting hurt or killed, the alcohol provider can be held accountable for their role in the accident.
So while it’s possible that responsibility for this accident begins and ends with a negligent driver, it would be irresponsible not to look into where this alleged alcohol came from. If there was more than one party involved in causing this accident, they should all face appropriate consequences for their actions.
