How Did This Accident Occur?

When a car crashes at this time of night, it’s natural for people to suspect the driver was impaired or fatigued, but what if something else caused this accident? What if another car forced the Nissan off the road? What if the SUV had some sort of mechanical issue that affected its brakes or steering? Those questions won’t answer themselves, so a full investigation, by authorities or an independent third party, is needed.

Investigators can review evidence from the scene, data from the SUV’s engine control module and any available traffic cam footage to figure out why this crash happened.
