According to these reports, 22-year-old Gracie Campbell was laying in the right-most lane of I.H. 30, RL Thornton Freeway, in the vicinity of the Julius Schepps Freeway, I.H. 45, when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that Campbell was struck by an eastbound motor vehicle of unknown make and model. The person(s) in the vehicle allegedly fled the scene, neglecting to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim. Campbell incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time are reported to have been clear and dry. The investigation continues.
UPDATE (March 18, 2024): The pedestrian who lost her life as a result of this accident has been identified as Gracie Renee Campbell, of Richardson.
Dallas, TX — March 11, 2024, one person was killed in a pedestrian versus motor vehicle accident at approximately 3:00 a.m. along I.H. 30.
According to authorities, the accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of Interstate Highway 30 in the vicinity of the ramp from Interstate Highway 45.
