Bexar County, TX — August 15, 2025, Gloria Saenz was killed as the result of a hit-and-run accident at around 9:11 p.m. along US Highway 181.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened at the intersection of US 181 and Adkins-Elmendorf Road southeast of San Antonio.
Investigators said that 75-year-old Gloria Guerra Saenz was on foot at the time in the area of US 181. Reports say that a red Jeep Wrangler was going along the road when it struck Gloria Saenz. That Jeep then reportedly left the scene.
Due to the collision, Gloria Saenz was killed. Authorities have not said if the driver has been located.

With hit-and-runs, one of the best things authorities can do is make details public. They initially did that, but it can actually help to repeatedly circulate information to the community. A lot of the time when a runaway driver gets caught, it’s because someone is able to connect the dots authorities couldn’t. The same could very well prove true here, as well. My hope is authorities are persistent here until the victim’s loved ones get some closure.
