Reeves County, TX — December 26, 2023, Gilberto Garza was injured in a car accident just after 3:00 a.m. along County Road 411.
According to reports, 39-year-old Gilberto Garza was traveling in a southwest bound Ford F-150 in the vicinity a little over half of a mile south of the C.R. 413 intersection when the accident took place.
C.R. 411 makes a reportedly sharp right turn from southwest bound to northbound in the area where the incident took place. Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the pickup truck failed to make the turn; instead, it continued straight in its southwest trajectory, leaving the roadway as a result. It allegedly collided with a power pole before coming to a stop. Garza—the sole occupant of the pickup truck—reportedly incurred suspected severe injuries due to the crash; he was transported to a local medical facility in order to receive treatment.
