Houston, TX — November 27, 2023, Geneva Stitt was injured as the result of an alleged drunk driver accident at 1:45 a.m. on Bellfort Street.
Initial statements about the accident from Harris County officials indicate that it happened near the intersection of Bellfort Street and Telephone Road.
According to officials, 24-year-old Geneva Stitt was in a vehicle which had apparently been struck by a Dodge Charger. That Charger then left the scene of that accident, and Stitt followed. Eventually, both vehicles came to a stop, and Stitt reportedly got out of her vehicle. It was then, police say, that the Charger reversed, hit Stitt, then fled the scene.
Stitt had injuries believed to be minor due to the accident. Police suggest that the runaway driver is known to them, and charges for both DWI and failure to stop and render aid have been recommended. No other details about the accident can be confirmed at this time.
