Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

I see a lot of situations involving victims like this where people just move on without a second thought. It shouldn’t be a controversial opinion to say a fatal accident deserves careful, thorough investigations regardless of the housing status of the victims. That’s why I hope authorities here are continuing to reconstruct the circumstances leading up to this accident. If details show that a reasonably prudent truck driver would have been able to see and avoid the victims, it’s important to know why this situation ended differently.
