Fort Worth, TX — July 15, 2025, one person was hospitalized following a hazmat accident at around 8:00 a.m. at a dump off Elliott Reeder Road.
Details in initial reports suggest the incident happened at the Republic Services North Texas Recycling Complex off Airport Freeway and Carson Road.
According to officials, responders came to the scene due to a “cloud” at the dump site. From that scene, approximately 17 people had to be checked out, and one person was reportedly taken to the hospital. Their condition wasn’t specified.
There is not given cause for the incident at this time, and the nature of what led to the medical evaluations also remains unclear.

There are a lot of unanswered questions here, and it’s very likely this incident could involve all kinds of investigations, including hazmat specialists and possible OSHA officials if this was work related. In short, it’s very likely getting to the bottom of all this will be a complex series of events that will require length, careful investigations.
