Refugio County, TX — October 14, 2024, Gabriel Ramirez and one other person were injured in a rear-end car accident at 1:30 a.m. along U.S. Highway 77.
According to authorities, 25-year-old Gabriel Ramirez Jr. and two women ages 23 and 56 were traveling in a northwest bound Ford Fusion on U.S. 77 in the vicinity northeast of Quintana Road when the accident took place.

The Ford was reportedly traveling at a slower pace due to the use of a spare tire. Officials indicate that a Ford Ranchero pickup truck failed to appropriately control its speed and collided with the rear end of the Fusion.
Ramirez and the 23-year-old woman suffered serious injuries as a result of the wreck. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
