Brazoria County, TX — January 21, 2024, Francisco Gurrola Jr. was injured in a single-car accident just after 3:00 a.m. along State Highway 288.
According to reports, 21-year-old Francisco Gurrola Jr. was a passenger in a northbound Mazda traveling on S.H. 288 in the vicinity north of C.R. 60 when the accident took place.
The causal factors that led to the crash are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Mazda reportedly collided with a yellow temporary barrier. The driver of the vehicle allegedly fled the scene on foot, leaving Gurrola behind.
Gurrola incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
