Thornton, CO — Two people and two of their children killed in car accident at around 7:30 P.M. on Washington Street.
Authorities are investigating a fatal accident that killed four people on Saturday night in Thornton. Four members of the Diaz family were struck from behind while stopped at the intersection of Thornton Parkway and Washington Street. The impact pushed the vehicle into the open intersection, were they were struck by another vehicle, before then catching fire.
Francisco Diaz was driving, and his wife Beatriz Nunez, and two minor children aged 15 and 10, were also in the car, and all of them would be killed by the impact. The Thornton police department is still looking into all the facts of the accident, and at this time it is unknown if there will be any charges or citations followed.
