Jim Wells County, TX — October 23, 2024, Francisco Costilla is dead following a car accident that happened around 6:25 A.M. on Highway 359.
An investigation is underway into the accident that claimed the life of Francisco Costilla, 36, of Corpus Christi and injured his passenger, a 17-year-old boy. According to official reports, Costilla and his passenger were travelling southbound on Highway 359 when a vehicle crossed into his lane and collided with him head-on.
When first responders arrived on the scene, they found Costilla had sustained serious serious injuries which proved fatal, and he succumbed to them at the scene. The minor passenger was transported to an area hospital, and his status remains unknown at this time.
