Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

People often think OSHA takes care of everything following a fatal work accident. But months after an accident, they may still not have all the facts or a proper solution. Families, meanwhile, are left to navigate the most complex work fatality laws in the country. Texas work fatality law requires extensive evidence and a lot of legal experience to properly work through. An OSHA investigation alone is rarely enough to do that, which is why so many families reasonably seek out alternative paths that can offer more prompt, thorough, and fair resolutions. So even if OSHA ultimately concludes their efforts surrounding this accident, that may be far from the end of the story.
