Brazoria County, TX — December 12, 2025, one person was killed and one was injured following a truck accident at around 9:18 a.m. along TX-288 Business.
Initial statements about the crash say that it happened off County Road 45, north of Angleton.
According to officials, a 63-year-old man was in a Chevy Malibu going southbound along the highway. A Mack truck was going northbound. The vehicles reportedly crossed paths and collided. Due to this, the Chevy driver was killed.
The truck driver reportedly had moderate injuries. Additional details about the crash are unconfirmed.

Any deadly accident is going to present unique challenges for investigators. Putting a commercial truck into the mix is only going to complicate things further. I’ve handled hundreds of commercial vehicle accident cases, and one of the first steps one can take is just making sure the crash is in the hands of experienced investigators.
Any given police department may have the funding, trained personnel, and time needed for such a complex accident reconstruction. Frankly, though, officers in a rural police or sheriff’s department are likely to see one, maybe two crashes like this across their whole career. As such, if it seems like authorities might be in over their heads, getting the crash in the hands of independent accident reconstructionists may be crucial for preserving important evidence early on.
