I can only hope authorities have continued working behind the scenes to get clear answers for the family about what happened here. I learned a long time ago in my career that sometimes, whatever information we see in the public might be all the information authorities bothered to gather. Single-vehicle accidents might be treated as a low priority, and details slip through the cracks. It’s possible an independent investigation here would show authorities already got all the facts. However, it wouldn’t be unusual if getting the full story required outside help picking up where authorities left off.
