Los Angeles, CA — December 2, 2025, at least one fatality was reported as the result of a multi-vehicle truck accident on the 605 Freeway.
Few details about the crash are available at this time. It reportedly happened along northbound lanes of the freeway in the Whittier area at the transfer ramp to Highway 60.
Video of the crash scene shows that an 18-wheeler and at least one passenger vehicle were involved in the crash. Some of the crash extended off the side of the roadway. Authorities report the accident was fatal. The number of victims, which vehicle they were in, and possible injuries remain unclear.
Investigations continue.

The first few days after a deadly truck wreck are the most delicate. That’s when investigators need to be securing evidence before it’s moved, altered, or lost in some way. Vehicle data, camera footage, cellphone records, GPS data, blood tests for drugs and alcohol, witness testimony, road markings and debris analysis, etc.
If authorities weren’t able to divert resources to the investigations because they were too focused on clearing the crash site, it may be up to more thorough independent investigations to bring all that evidence to light for the victims and families involved here.
