Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Right now, the cause of the crash can’t be confirmed. What’s important going forward is to let the evidence speak for itself. As often as I encourage folks to give victims the benefit of the doubt, the most push-back I get is when the victim is a motorcyclist. There are many ways they can crash for reasons beyond their control, but people tend to assume all bikers are reckless drivers. That can obviously happen, but it’s just a matter of time before those hasty assumptions result in someone being blamed for an accident they couldn’t avoid. Hopefully this doesn’t end up as one of those situations.
