Accident Report

Wise County, TX — June 13, 2026, Falone Kendijo was injured in a car accident just before 7 p.m. on F.M. 2264 near Decatur.

A preliminary accident report indicates that a 2019 Toyota RAV4 was heading west when it collided with an eastbound 2025 Ford Mustang Mach-E while turning left onto County Road 4223. Both vehicles had driver assistance units engaged at the time.

Toyota driver Falone Kendijo, 30, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report.

The Mustang driver, 38, was not hurt, but the two women riding with him suffered minor injuries, the report states.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Wise County crash at this time.

How Did This Accident Occur?

At first glance, this seems like a relatively straight-forward accident, but the notation about both vehicles having autonomous driving technology means it should get a deeper look.

Such technology is meant to make driving safer, even overriding the driver’s inputs to prevent accidents, but apparently something went wrong in this instance. A qualified expert should examine both vehicles to determine if those systems were working property, or if they were not programmed properly.

Most law enforcement agencies don’t have the time or training for such inspections, in my experience, but those affected by this crash deserve to know as much as possible about what caused it.
