El Paso, TX — December 5, 2023, Ethel Almanza was injured in a truck accident at approximately 9:00 in the morning along Interstate Highway 10.
According to reports, the accident took place in the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 just west of the Yarbrough drive overpass.
Allegedly, 38-year-old Ethel Almanza was traveling in a Chrysler in the far left lane of the interstate behind a Chevy Silverado pick up truck. An 18-wheeler with a trailer in tow occupied the lane directly right of the other two vehicles. Accounts of what led to the crash differ; according to officials, the Chrysler somehow made significant contact with both the rear-end of the Silverado and the left side of the 18-wheeler. Almanza reportedly incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash; she was transported to a local medical facility in order to receive treatment.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reported to have been clear and dry. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
