How Did This Accident Occur?
The investigation into this crash shouldn’t be over once authorities determine if it happened as described in the initial crash report. It warrants additional scrutiny if blood tests confirm the Chevrolet driver was intoxicated at the time of the crash because where he had been drinking matters.
It’s one thing if he had been drinking at home, but if he was served at a restaurant or bar while obviously intoxicated, that alcohol provider may share responsibility under Texas law for any injuries he caused after getting behind the wheel. Right now, there is no way to know if that is what happened in this instance, but the injured driver and his family will never know who might have played a role in this crash unless this is fully investigated.
