Harris County, TX — January 12, 2024, Enrique Torres was injured following a car accident at around 11:00 p.m. along the Katy Freeway service road.
Authorities said in their preliminary statements on the crash that it happened on the eastbound I-10 service road near the intersection of North Eldridge Parkway.
According to investigators, 19-year-old Enrique Torres was in a Chevy Silverado going eastbound on the Katy Freeway service road. Somehow, the pickup crashed into a barrier separating the service road from an on-ramp. After that crash, Torres apparently was outside of his vehicle when a Nissan Murano passed by and struck him in the roadway.
Due to the collision, Torres sustained apparently serious injuries. No one in the other vehicle was hurt. At this time, additional details about the accident are unavailable pending investigations.
