Houston, TX — January 14, 2024, Emone Bailey was injured in a car accident shortly before 12:30 a.m. along Richmond Avenue.
According to authorities, a 24-year-old man was traveling in a northbound Dodge Journey on Meadway Drive at the Richmond Avenue intersection when the accident took place.
Authorities indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Dodge failed to yield the right of way to the traffic on Richmond Avenue, entering the intersection at an unsafe time. This poorly timed maneuver resulted in a collision between the right back side of the Dodge and the front end of a westbound Hyundai Sonata on Richmond Avenue occupied by 32-year-old Emone Bailey.
Bailey incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident and was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
