Hidalgo County, TX — February 2, 2024, Eloy Sanchez Jr. was injured in a motorcycle versus truck accident shortly before 12:30 p.m. along East Frontage Road.
According to reports, 28-year-old Eloy Sanchez Jr. was traveling on a westbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle on East Frontage Road in the vicinity west of Goolie Road when the accident occurred.
A westbound 18-wheeler was allegedly in the lane ahead, making an attempt to turn right onto Goolie Road. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the motorcycle failed to slow for the turning 18-wheeler. As a result, the motorcycle collided with the back right side of the trailer.
Sanchez reportedly incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
