Accident Report
Fisher County, TX — August 12, 2026, Elmo Nowlain and Andrew Starr were killed in a car accident at about 4:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 180 east of Midway.
Authorities said a 2015 Dodge Ram 3500 was turning left onto F.M. 611 when it collided with a westbound 2024 Ford F-150.
Dodge driver Elmo Hiram Nowlain, 80 of Valley Mills and passenger Andrew Joseph Starr, 39 of Hamilton were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to authorities.
The Ford driver, a 38-year-old Ropesville man, suffered minor injuries, authorities said.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the Fisher County crash at this time.
