Bexar County, TX — January 24, 2024, Elizabeth Ashley Huston was injured as the result of a car accident at around 11:45 p.m. on Talley Road.
Authorities stated that the crash occurred along the 3800 block of Talley Road, near Wiseman Boulevard west of San Antonio.
Investigators said that 30-year-old Elizabeth Huston was in a Toyota Highlander said to be going westbound along Talley Road. Somehow, the vehicle apparently ended up in the eastbound lane, and it crashed head-on with an oncoming Toyota 4Runner.
Due to the collision, Huston sustained injuries described as serious. The other driver apparently was not injured.

Authorities mentioned that Huston was not entirely responsive before being taken to a hospital. They haven’t said if they were able to follow up with Huston later on for their investigations. Here’s why that matters.
With the exception of some particularly serious crashes, authorities don’t generally prioritize accident reconstruction that highly. As thorough as folks assume police investigations are, the reality is few of them go beyond the crash scene itself. As a result, if someone isn’t around to tell their side of the story, they might never get the chance to do so unless there is clear evidence to speak on their behalf. That sort of evidence usually requires more than preliminary crash scene investigations alone. That’s why I usually tell people that early statements like these are best taken with a grain of salt until all sides of the story are clear.
