How Did This Accident Occur?

Single-vehicle crashes like this are often attributed to driver fatigue or error, but I always caution people about rushing to any conclusions until more facts are known. I’ve seen more than my share of crashes that defied early assumptions over the course of my career, so I always recommend waiting for an investigation to be completed.

That investigation will likely consider whether driver error contributed to the crash, but will it look for signs for a blown tire or faulty lane departure warning system? Maybe. And maybe the families affected by this crash will opt for an independent investigation to ensure all of their questions get answered.
