Fannin County, TX — June 27, 2025, Eleazar Olivo Pineda was fatally injured as the result of a work accident which took place along County Road 1240.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened just east of Savoy at 319 CR-1240.

Even without any information available here, there’s little doubt that the path forward will involve significant challenges. Texas happens to have the most complex work fatality laws of any other state in the country. Without the right kind of evidence and legal tools, those laws can become a maze for a worker’s family. That’s why these preliminary OSHA reports are rarely enough on their own to present an actual solution. There usually have to be significant steps to ensure a family is able to navigate that legal maze and get a fair and just resolution.
