Montgomery County, TX — November 24, 2024, Efrain Arredondo, Kathalena Arredondo, Eduardo Arredondo, and seven were injured in a car accident on Highway 105.
According to initial details about the accident, it happened at around 9:30 p.m. in the area of Old Highway 105, west of Cleveland.
Investigators said that Efrain Arredondo, Kathalena Arredondo, Eduardo Arredondo, and a teenager were in a Ford F-150 going southbound on the highway. While doing so, their vehicle and an oncoming Jeep Wrangler collided. Two other vehicles, a Chevy Traverse and a Kia Forte, were also involved.
Due to the crash, Efrain Arredondo, Kathalena Arredondo, Eduardo Arredondo, and the teen in the Ford had moderate injuries. Two people from the Chevy were seriously injured. Three others involved had less serious injuries.
Authorities allege that the Jeep driver left the scene of the accident, but details suggest authorities identified the driver. No further information is available right now.

Hopefully it’s true that authorities know who all was involved here. That way, if someone did indeed leave the scene, they can be held accountable. But that may require more than just consequences for leaving the scene. It’s important that authorities know why someone fled the scene. There’s usually something specific they wanted to hide from authorities.
For example, I’ve handled many accidents where drivers left the scene due to drunk driving. That can lead to the driver facing even more consequences, and it can also lead to an investigation into a local alcohol provider if an establishment unlawfully over-served the driver, as that can make the establishment complicit in the crash itself.
It’s not clear if anything like that happened here, but people deserve to know they’re getting the whole story, and they desereve to know there will be appropriate consequences for all parties who contributed to the crash.
