College Station, TX — January 20, 2024, at least three people were injured in a five-vehicle accident at around 7:00 p.m. along Wellborn Road.
According to authorities, 35-year-old Edgar Castillo was traveling in a vehicle along Wellborn Road in the vicinity south of Harvey Mitchell Parkway when the accident took place.
The vehicle was reportedly traveling at high rates of speed. Officials state that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the car entered an intersection and collided with another vehicle. This allegedly set off a chain reaction of events that led to several other collisions. The incident involved a total of five separate vehicles, all told.
Reports indicate that at least three of the victims incurred injuries of as yet unknown severity. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of those involved—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
